I AM BAFFLED.

It seems that every time I switch on the radio or pick up a paper the subjects being debated and discussed are MGBGTXYZ folk. I suppose it makes a change from their discussing rogue asteroids, global warming and parlous state of the NHS, which in days of yore was normal August fare. I even noticed pictures of MGB people dressed up as giant vaginas; one was sporting sunglasses, a first for me, must be what they call FGM. Last weekend I had a good friend staying, she is a lesbian, despite my best efforts I've yet to find a cure. I am surprised we are still friends as years ago when we first met she asked me how I viewed lesbian relationships. In HD was neither the answer she was expecting nor one she approved of.
It rather looks as if the combine will be working today so on with the dust mask and off to work we go.
Here are a couple of butterflies. The first is a Red Admiral and the second is one of the Whites.
And a few Sulphur Tuft.
Have fun, I am away at a show this weekend, the dogs are having a haircut so I'll be back next week.

    1. Margaret, thank you. Maybe better if I could leave them alone.

  2. Mrs. T...er?..May has let her cohorts slink away, to spend their ill gotten gains, on their holidays and old Trumpy is so knackered sacking people and telling other nations what they need to do that he's had to go on holiday too! So,I guess that, with no 'proper' news to report on the press have had to find something else to stir up and hang their distorted views on?

Enjoy your combining...farmers down here are contemplating fitting floats to theirs!!

    It's a Green-veined White btw. ...[;o)

    1. Trevor, there is Venezuela but that doesn't fit the BBC snowflake agenda. T. May says folk can identify as anything. I will be something really weird. A pattern makers contraction rule comes to mind. Next week I fancy identifying as a Field Marshall tractor.
I am just back and things are going well but the ground is very soft.
Thanks for the ID. I knew it wasn't a female Orange Tip as they have finished for this year. Hundreds of the Green=veined Whites around.

  3. Hi Adrian, It's been ages since I visited and admired your images. I don't even try to understand how you capture them any more. I love the shot of the whole little village of fungi.

  4. I get baffled by a lot of things these days, Adrian and your use of ELAs doesn't help!

That image of the Sulphur Tuft is particularly attractive.

    1. Richard it's not my fault if folk want to identify as a Morris Garages [modelB] Grand Tourer. Today I'm a TIG welder (Tungsten Inert Gas).

    1. Peter, I think the majority of them do. It's the silly exhibitionist minority that need a good slap. I have stopped supporting the NT as they tried to make their staff wear LGBT badges. Not content with mismanaging Stately Homes they now want to promote Stately Homos.

    2. Stately Homos, now that's funny! I am enough of an Anglophile to recognize NT as National Trust and NHS as National Health Service (few American readers would), but ELA has me, well, in your words, baffled.

  7. I'm confused about this post. Are you talking about MGB-GT the car folk or are you talked my about LGBT folk? My son's first-ever car way back in 1982 was an MGB-GT that required constant tinkering with. My impression (not politically correct, of course) is that LGBT people require the same thing. Or have I missed your entire drift?

    1. Bob, I really can't tell the difference. I'm Baffled. I do know that for a minority they command an awful lot of attention. Most just need a good slap.

  8. I quote you "I will be something really weird." We are all weird in that there is no such thing as normal. However Adrian, you are something really weird. That's why we all love you so much.

    1. I read in yesterday's Telegraph that a policeman wants Tesco to relabel feminine hygiene products as people hygiene products. I am just a little strange,,,,He is barking mad.

    3. He is barking mad because men who use sanitary products wouldn't know which ones to buy and women similarly.
